Moral Residue

I currently hold an appointment as a Senior Researcher (25% time) at the University of Oslo to work on a project on the phenomenon of moral residue in a health care context. This widely interdisciplinary project is led by PI Jan Helge Solbakk and is funded by a European Research Council Advanced Grant (2.455 million euro).

I presented my preliminary work for this project, entitled "Holding Ourselves Responsible: When What Rightly Matters Doesn't Really Matter,"  as the Presidential Address at the January 2024 Eastern Division Meetings of the American Philosophical Association. I am now working with Cullin Brown on a co-authored book on this topic.
